Syverson: Democrats party in Springfield, Republicans ready to work

SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Sen. Dave Syverson (R-Rockford) and fellow Senate Republicans went to work Wednesday at the Capital, calling on Illinois’ Democrat leadership to “put aside the political gamesmanship, the inter-party conflicts and the hypocrisy.”
“Today, Illinois roads, bridges and schools are in serious need of repair,” Syverson said. “State government is billions of dollars behind in its payments, and the job market continues to struggle. We are here, ready to work; our Democrat colleagues, unfortunately, seem more interested in spending the day at the fair eating corn dogs and hearing political speeches rather than fixing the problems that need to be addressed.” ...
