State Senator Dave Syverson (R-Rockford) is one of only four state legislators with a 100 percent voting record on the 2019 Legislative Scorecard released by the Technology and Manufacturing Association (TMA).
Sen. Syverson has received a 100 percent rating for his support of bills important to the state’s manufacturers.
“Manufacturing is one of Illinois’ leading industries, creating jobs and driving the state’s economy. I’m proud to have a perfect voting record in support of Illinois’ job creators,” said Syverson. “Especially as we witness the mass exodus of businesses and residents leave the state, lawmakers need to recognize the critical role manufacturing plays in Illinois and they need to be more supportive of pro-manufacturing and pro-job growth reforms.”
According to the TMA, last year only 27 percent of Illinois Senate members scored 70 or more on bills important to the state’s manufacturers.
What is really disappointing is the TMA’s scorecard showed that Senate members voted against the state’s manufacturing sector nearly twice as often than they voted for it, with an average score of 37.
