On Monday, State Senator Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley), along with Senator Li Arellano Jr, Senator Sue Rezin, House Minority Leader Tony McCombie, Representative Bradley Fritts, and Representative Jeff Keicher, hosted a Senior Fair at DeKalb High School.

“Our seniors have given so much to their families, their communities, and this state. Events like this are one small way we can give back and make sure they have access to the resources they need,” said Sen. Syverson.

Seniors in attendance had the opportunity to connect with over 60 local vendors offering information and services related to healthcare, hospice care, rehabilitation, volunteer opportunities, and more. Free health screenings — including vaccinations, blood pressure checks, and hearing exams — were also available.

The event drew more than 200 attendees.

Sen. Syverson says he will continue to advocate for policies and programs that support the health, independence, and well-being of Illinois seniors.
