Senator Syverson named Champion of Free Enterprise by Illinois Chamber

SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley) has been named a Champion of Free Enterprise by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.

The Champion of Free Enterprise award is given to a lawmaker who has demonstrated leadership on policies and laws that keep Illinois’ economy and its jobs climate heading in the right direction.

“I am grateful that my efforts on behalf of job creators in northern Illinois have been rated so highly by the Illinois Chamber,” Senator Syverson said. “The best way to turn Illinois’ economy around is to improve our jobs climate, and that is what I am committed to doing.”

As one of the largest business voices in the state, the Illinois Chamber represents a wide range of employers, from small entrepreneurs to large international companies located in every community in Illinois.

“Senator Syverson has consistently represented the interests of businesses in his district, establishing himself as a respected and trusted voice on complex issues in the Senate,” said Illinois Chamber President and CEO Lou Sandoval. “Senator Syverson is widely acknowledged for his pragmatic approach to the legislative process, and the business community has benefited from his decades of experience and determination to pass legislation that will enhance the quality of life for Illinois families. We look forward to our continued collaboration to foster a robust economy and a prosperous Illinois for all.”
