As Governor JB Pritzker testifies in Washington today about his sanctuary state agenda, Illinoisans need to hear the truth: Pritzker hasn’t just embraced dangerous sanctuary policies, he has supercharged them, stripping law enforcement of the tools they need to protect our communities and turning Illinois into a safe haven for criminal illegal immigrants.

The Governor hides behind the TRUST Act as cover, but that’s pure political theater. What started as a narrow policy has been warped by Pritzker and his far-left allies into a radical shield for repeat offenders, gang members, and even violent criminals. Local police are now barred from working with federal immigration authorities—unless there’s a federal criminal warrant. That’s not public safety. That’s reckless.

Even worse, Pritzker’s allies handed the Illinois Attorney General sweeping new powers to investigate and punish police departments that dare to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. This is an outright assault on law enforcement and a green light to chaos.

While working families across Illinois are crushed under the weight of skyrocketing taxes and a bloated, $55 billion budget, Democrats still found the money to bankroll free healthcare and expanded benefits for illegal immigrants. Meanwhile, everyday Illinoisans are left behind.

This isn’t compassion, it’s betrayal. Pritzker is turning his back on law-abiding citizens to score points with open-border extremists. He’s not standing up for Illinois families. He’s selling them out.
